Fatal vehicle crashes a pedestrian; victim succumbs to death

Around 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, a fatal vehicle killed a pedestrian in Downtown, Seattle. Police officials are investigating the same as hit and run case, as the driver of the vehicle fled the scene.

The police officials have no much information about how the pedestrian was hit. The incident occurred at the intersection of 4th Ave and Columbia St. Neither the description of the vehicle nor the suspect has been found so far.

The victim succumbed to injuries before being transported to the hospital. According to SDOT, all NB lanes are blocked on 4th Ave between Cherry St. And Marion St. All WB lanes are blocked on Columbia St. between 5th Ave and 3rd Ave, as per the sources.
